Sri Parthasarathi thunai Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha Dear Smt. Raji, Thiruvilakku picchan was a great bhaktha of Lord ranganatha who used to do the service of holding a lamp in front of the periya perumal sannadhi. Nampillai used to deliver bhagavat vishaya kalashepams in front of the sannadhi. In those days, people used to wonder "nampillai ghostiyO! namperumal purappAdO!" Is this the crowd gathered to here the kalashepam delivered by nampillai or is it the crowd for namperumal purappadu? Amazed by the popularity of nampillai and his talent to attract so much crowd periya perumal once wanted to witness the kalashepa ghosti in person and hence he came out of his archa samadhi and came to the sannadhi entrance and peeped over the shoulders of thiruvilakku picchan. Thiruvilakku pichchan suddenly realized the presence of emperuman nearby and scolded perumal for doing so and pushed him back into his adishesha bed. From that day periya perumal never again came out of his archa samAdhi. Hope this clarifies. Could someone tell me more about this "Tiruvilakku pichan" and why periya perumal came out of his archa samadhi? pranams once again happy sankaranthi to all raji sridhar __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
