Whatever little adiyen's mandha budhi knows, there is no mention of Hare Krishna mantra in poorvacharya's vyakyanams. This is mostly a gaudia sampradhaya practice or Chaitanya Prabhu's teaching.
Regarding Ashtakshara Manthram, it is one of the three rahasya thrayams. Meaning one of the three sacred manthras. One is even qualified to hear only after performing saranagathy to an acharyan's feet. It is definitely not supposed to be sung like a keertan or in any other form. It is of course to be recited by every prapanna in his daily prayers and should be guarded in the most sacred way possible.
Nama Sankeetranam is also a very very accepted practice in our sampradhayam. Thondaradipodi Azhwar's 45 passurams in Thirumaalai are exactly for this purpose. However, there is a difference. In Sri sampradhayam NOTHING should be performed with the intention
that that particular act will lead to moksham or salvation. Only Emberuman's lotus feet are the solution. However, all these acts are performed as a service (kainkaryam) to Him. Not for any other reason. However, in other sampradhayams, especially in Gaudiya sampradhayam, Nama Sankeertanam is a means to attain Krishna.

What have out Purvacharayas said about the Hare Krishna mantra???
Also can and does the Namo Narayanaya mantra be sung like a keertan as hare krishna is??? >br>
Finally is Hari nama japa/sankeertan held in the same esteem in Sri sampradaya as it is in Gaudiya sampradaya (who see it as the most important
practice)
