Exactly right, Jeff. The reason to buy a commercial machine, that has the data on their website, is that you don't have to worry then.

Follow manufacturer's instructions. Use their nutrient mixes, use good compost (look for the fungal strands, add some fungal foods, or ask for data about fungi from the person you buy the compost from).

The tea should then be great!
