A fungicide is a pesticide. This would be a first if ACT can kill a fungus=
when it promotes fungal growth and fungi as part of ACT.

  Hi Ted

Apple scab is caused by the fungus, Venturia inaequalis. Maybe this i=
s a terminology thing, but if something zaps or outcompetes a fungus does t=
hat make it a pesticide?

We used ACT alone on a small orchard that had scab. Reduced it to near=
zero in one application early in the spring. I think NWFruit club has s=
ome reports on the subject too. Bob

    Bob:

Are you suggesting that ACT acted as a pesticide?
