T Dodge and Jon - can I offer another opinion without causing me or you to get shutoff the List - Jeff - Grin - Two thoughts:
 
!) If the pump runs at 98 F when pumping air to your brewer - what temp does it run when just running free air? What is your ambient? If the air is much hotter going to your brewer you may be restricting the air flow so much it is running hot. Like above - if it runs cooler when running free to the air try allowing more air flow to whaever is restricting air flow to your brewer. Big free bubbles I think work well Little air and small bubbles = same O2 as lots of air and big bubbles??
 
2) Even if you are running hot air to the brewer evaporation cooling as the air picks up vapor as it passes thru the water and bubbles back to atmosphere there will be significat cooling effect.
 
So two actions that may help - Open up the air release to the water. Let the bubbles escape as larger freeer bubbles and the most possible air flow will cool the system just as the sweat of your back keeps you cool even in a 110F ambient situation - if you have a fan going.
 
Hey a fan cooling the waves on the open top of your brewer could help lower the temp if you need to coolit. So T and J have a coooool time brewing up a storm. Bob

will create quite a bit of chop or wave action so reducing the capacity
of the vessel for said brewing of AACT.
