Well as Paul so aptly stated "lack of knowledge is no bar to posting on this
site" So I have no direct knowledge about black powder or any other
ordinance or munitions, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn once. that said.

You might want to contact Pamplin Park The National Museum of the Civil War
Soldier in Petersburg, Va. http://www.pamplinpark.org/ They may be able to
help you. I believe that they have some cartridges on display.
