Pencil and prints

One of the comments on photograph numbering mentioned
pencils. Please note that I found that our supplies office had
switched to Sanford Eagle brand pencils (common at Office
Depot). These "pencils" contain a powdered lead rather than
a lead center, and therefore never keep sharp points and often
smudge. The erasers are rubber and do not erase.

For our department, I demanded and got real pencils -- with
pink pearl erasers that work. Surprisingly the price was not
any different. The "selling" point of the Eagles is that they
are recycled--the sheath of the pencil is not wood.
