Re: Paperless Stuff
Interesting that the first serious work done on building a computer
(Babbage's dream was nearly fulfilled during his lifetime, but only
actually built in the 1990s) was the result of an idea for calculating
railroad schedules accurately. Babbage was annoyed that railroad schedules
were not correct (and, as pointed out in the article, this could be dangerous).
