Re: Q: Why do you need space... everything is online now...



This is a perennial problem.  One part of your response could be a report
on how many books you will have to weed, services points you will have to
combine, study tables you will have to remove, etc. if you lose space.
All this to the detriment of the STUDENTS.

Also consider including statistics showing that over the years more and
more people come into the library, ask ref. questions, borrow books
(unless, of course, the stats have gone down!)

Then, the usual - not all is online, students still need ref librarians,
books still have to be ordered, cataloged, and shelved/reshelved, the
staff still needs the same space to work.  Good luck.
