In the book A-Train: Memoir of a Tuskegee Airman, Charles Dryden recounts how the black soldiers re



In the book A-Train:  Memoir of a Tuskegee Airman, Charles Dryden recounts how the black soldiers resented the German POW's held at the military airbases in the US because they received better treatment than they did. I've talked with Dryden several times (he's an alum and donated his papers to us) and he was bitter about that for a very long time. I read the book a while ago, but remember that there was specific detail about where the POW's were held.
