The best time to spray is during the dormant season. This will kill
the spores as they overwinter in the buds.

To date, conventional chemical treatments for leaf curl are not
effective after infections occur or after symptoms appear.

Since temperature plays a part in the severity of the outbreak
coupled with the fact that after affected leaves fall, the new
leaves grow without any symptoms, it's going to be difficult to
measure the effectiveness of the CT as a post bud break control.

Perhaps a better test would be to spray in winter and see what
happens next spring.
