Re: more post-breeding dispersal

Dear Kite-lovers,

I took a quick trip to the Santee delta
today (Saturday, July 18) and found 4 or 5 Swallow-tailed Kites, just over
the North Santee at the bridge. I was afaid I would miss them as they are
due to migrate soon. Thsi area is at the border of Charleston and Georgetown
Counties in SC, and is famous for kites and insects at this season. I
consider my seven bites worth the
looks. Oh, I forgot to count the 5 Deer Fly bites.
Back home in Summerville, the suburban Mississippi Kites were still soaring.

They were very cooperative and I took 10 exposures with the 400 mm.
