Adding to the list of Westerners showing up in Carolina, Doug Shadwick and
several other Chapel Hill Bird Clubbers found a winter-plumaged Yellow-
rumped "Audubon's" Warbler somewhere on the Lake Mattamuskeet causeway
(Hyde Co., NC) on Saturday. It was found in a flock of Myrtles, first
identified as something different by its call note, then by its yellow
throat.
Does this need to be written up for the NCBRC? I'm not sure exactly how
rare these are in NC -- I just know I haven't seen one!
