Red Eyed Vireo Question

While we were at the Caw Caw Center near Charleston last week we saw
a Red Eyed Vireo feeding a nearly grown younster that still had the
yellow in its mouth and yellow around the edge of its beak. We
checked the Breeding Bird Atlas and the earliest eggs are not until
mid May or so.

How can this be explained? (I will leave others to speculate.)
