New yard, life bird

This morning I got a glimpse of a bird that grabbed a sunflower seed
and took off. This evening it came back and left again before I could grab
my binoculars. Fortunately for me, it returned a third time. This time I
was ready and there was no mistaking the species: red-breasted nuthatch.
Seeing it gives me all three eastern nuthatches as yard birds as well as
life birds. Fun!
