Dwayne and I birded Glenn Hilton Park in Hickory both mornings this weekend
and had 65 species. This includes 17 species of warbler and 4 species of
vireos! Below is the list with Saturday's total (9/23) first and today's
total (9/24). The "good" birds are in caps:

YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER 1 -- (We are 99.5% sure this was a
yellow-bellied. It was VERY yellow from it's throat all the way to it's
belly, and the lower mandible seemed to be especially light---it was very co
operative and let us view it for many minutes at about five feet!)
Eastern Phoebe 4 4
Eastern Kingbird 1 --

felt as pale and "washed out" as the bird's coloration was, it could have
been a Bell's Vireo but decided to call it a young Blue-headed instead.)
Red-eyed Vireo 1 1
PHILADELPHIA VIREO 1 --
GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER 1 2
Tennessee Warbler 15+ 5+
ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER -- 1 (We got an excellent look at this guy with
his streaky breast and had to consult the warbler book! It was a first fall
of the CELATA subspecies.)
