Hiya Josh and all,
With regard to pigeon seed preferences, they most assuredly like
black-oil sunflower seed, and will attempt to perch on a very small feeder
(scattering the contents for all of their feathered-rat brethren waiting on
the ground below) to get to it. At a ground feeding area here, they eat the
sunflower first, then pick through the other stuff. They learned pretty
quick what the best deal going was.
My suggestion: Pray for hawks.....
