The following are highlights of the Wednesday morning birdwalk at Charleston
County's Caw Caw park in Ravenel, SC led by Perry Nugent at 8:30 am.
November 13, 2002
59 species were seen and/or heard. The most interesting were; 30
Green-winged Teal, 8 Blue-winged Teal, 2 American Wigeon, 1 adult and 2
young Bald Eagles, 1 Northern Harrier, 1 Hairy Woodpecker, 1 Yellow-bellied
Sapsucker, 1 Golden-crowned Kinglet, 1 Hermit Thrush, 2 Loggerhead Shrikes,
1 Pine Warbler, 1 Palm Warbler, 4 Eastern Meadowlarks, and 3 American
Goldfinches.
