A troupe of calling Cedar Waxwings buzzed me on my morning walk today.
(Welcome back, boys and girls!) And a sharp-shinned hawk flushed from a
nearby tree and gave me a good look as he flew about and then onward
across the (Lake Norman) water.
My first look in too-long-a-time at a Kestrel (female) came yesterday as
she posed on a roadside wire for my binocular inspection.
Cheers!
