Caw Caw birdwalk



The following are highlights of the 3 hour birdwalk at Charleston County's
Caw Caw Park located on US 17 south in Ravenel, SC led by Perry Nugent at
8:30 am.  A small fee is charged.  For more information about these walks,

February 15, 2003

47 species were seen and/or heard on a nice day.  The most interesting were;
100 White Ibis, 1 Osprey, 1 adult Bald Eagle on nest, 2 Red-shouldered
Hawks, 1 Red-tailed Hawk, 1 Great Horned Owl on nest, 3 Hermit Thrushes, 1
Loggerhead Shrike, 1 Orange-crowned Warbler, and 1 Black-and-white Warbler.
