58 species were seen and/or heard on a nice day.  The most interesting were;
10 Wood storks, 16 Wood Ducks, 3 Mottled Ducks, 3 Mississippi Kites, 2
Swallow-tailed Kites, 3 adult and 1 baby Ospreys, 3 Yellow-billed Cuckoos, 1
Red-headed Woodpecker, 3 Pileated Woodpeckers, 5 Wood-pewees, 3 Acadian
Flycatchers, 1 Wood Thrush, 6 Prothonotary Warblers, 4 Summer Tanagers, 3
Blue Grosbeaks, 2 Indigo Buntings, 5 Painted Buntings, 12 Orchard Orioles.
We had a Willow flycatcher calling "whit" near a small crude and exposed
nest for several days. On Saturday 6/7 there were 2 baby flycatchers in the
nest with 1 parent near by, but today all of these flycatchers were gone. I
suspect predators got the babies and the adult is nowhere to be found.
