The following are highlights of the 3 hour Saturday birdwalk at Charleston
County's Caw Caw Park on US 17 south in Ravenel, SC led by Perry Nugent at
8:30 am A small fee is charged. For more information click on

50 species were seen and/or heard on a nice day. The most interesting were;
20 Wood Storks, 5 Mississippi Kites, 2 adult and 1 baby Osprey, 5
Red-shouldered Hawks, 1 Solitary Sandpiper, 3 least Terns, 4 Yellow-billed
Cuckoos, 1 Hairy Woodpecker, 2 Wood Pewees, 2 Acadian Flycatchers, 1 Parula
Warbler, 1 Yellow-throated Warbler, 2 Summer Tanagers, 3 Blue Grosbeaks, 1
Indigo Bunting, and 6 Painted Buntings.
