The following are highlights of the 3 hour Wednesday morning birdwalk at
Charleston County's Caw Caw Park on US 17 south in Ravenel, SC led by Perry
Nugent at 8:30 am. A small fee is charged. For more information click on

57 species were seen and/or heard on a nice day. The most interesting were;
30 Anhingas, 2 Black-crowned Night Herons, 1 Least Bittern, 1 Yellow-crowned
Night Heron, 2 Mississippi Kites, 1 Swallow-tailed Kite, 8 Red-shouldered
Hawks, 2 Red-tailed Hawks, 1 Spotted Sandpiper, 1 Least Sandpiper, 2
Yellow-billed Cuckoos, 2 Pileated Woodpeckers, 3 Wood Pewees, 1 Acadian
Flycatcher, 1 Wood Thrush, 2 Summer Tanagers, 3 Blue Grosbeaks, 2 Indigo
Buntings, 1 Painted Bunting, and 1 Orchard Oriole.
