The following are highlights of the 3 hour Saturday birdwalk at Charleston
County's Caw Caw Park which is on US 17 in Ravenel, SC about 10 miles south
of the intersection of US 17 and US 526. A small fee is charged. For more

60 species were seen on a nice day. The most interesting were; 150 White
Ibis, 10 Wood Storks, 2 Green-winged Teal, 2 Mottled Ducks, 10
Red-shouldered Hawks, 1 Red-tailed Hawk, 1 Broad-winged Hawk, 1 Merlin, 1
Spotted Sandpiper, 10 Barred Owls nice concert, 1 Loggerhead Shrike, 15
White-eyed Vireos, 10 Red-eyed Vireos, 3 Northern Parula Warblers, 4 Yellow
Warblers, 1 Yellow-throated Warbler, 2 Pine Warblers, 2 Black-and-white
Warblers, 2 Northern Waterthrushes, 1 American Redstart, 2 Blue Grosbeaks, 1
Indigo Bunting, and 1 Savannah Sparrow.
