Boreal Forest passerine habitat story on NPR

There is a segment on the fragmentation of the boreal forest habitat in
Canada an how it affects songbird populations on the Expeditions part of
the NPR.ORG website this morning. The piece was broadcast on Morning
Edition. Some nice recordings of Winter Wren and White Throated Sparrows
in the background.

The show emphasized that it is absolutely critical that this boreal
habitat be preserved as well as the southern hemisphere tropics if we
wish to continue to see and hear the ephemeral beauty of these migratory
wonders.
