Well, I am sorry for your loss. Your attitute offends _me_ though, and
common sense in general.

Sorry, it is crap. First of all, it takes NO training to exceed the
speed limit by 10 mph or so in complete safety. It's still illegal.
Secondly, there are a number of civilian drivers out there with advanced
driving training that far exceeds that normally given to police officers.
It's still illegal for them to speed. Lastly, from what I've seen
this training is not very sophisticated nor are its results very good.
Then again, how much time is devoted to high-speed driving in training?
Not very much.
It's only an immunity to traffic laws that allows police officers to
drive like anarchists. Training is just an excuse, and a weak one at that.
