travel, at a tangent

Hurricane Ann - the epilogue

...after all that the hurricane missed
houston more or less-we just had an electricity breakdown in some some
areas.people though were traumatised and are walking around with haggard
expressions .it was mainly the insane experience on the roads during the big
evacuation - taking 26 hours for a 3 hour journey ect. i myself escaped the
hurricane by queing up all night in the airport.it was like the
war.however,i escaped one only to be hit by another-arrived in the Mission
sleep deprived and deranged only to be dumped by my girlfriend.she couldnt
handle the distance and even though i knew she was struggling i didnt
realise how bad it was. i then had to endure 3 heartbreaking days in her
flat trying my upmost not to crumble and being carried by non-stop phone
calls to friends including sarah (from kopan)im gutted.now im back in
houston and i have 2 mid-terms to write in the next fortnight.ive just
weaned myself off the sleeping pills and am moping around trying to get my
shit together.ive.got a buddhist retreat this weekend which im not exactly
in the mood for but it will probaly be good for me.
anyway glad my writing finally got the attention it deserved.scouse
journalism beats gonzo any day.
