Andrea & Liz and their daughters

Andrea & Liz: partners, parents, triathletes. "We have been together for 6 years. We have two daughters. Madison is 8 years old and Emory is 7 months. We enjoy outdoor activities with our family including running, triathlons, picnics and camping. On the weekends you can find us at either Madison or Liz's soccer games or working in the yard. Madison is a huge Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh fanatic, while Emory enjoys pulling hair and long walks in the stroller.

"There are a couple different reasons why we chose to participate in the abOUT Face campaign. One of the biggest reasons is to be good examples for our daughters- to show them that we are proud of who we are and our family and also that you should  be true to who you are. Another reason was to show  Greensboro what the face of gay parents looks like. Their are so many misconceptions of gay people and so many stereotypes -- we are their neighbors friends coworkers. Sometimes to start dialog and to open peoples minds you have to open their eyes and that is what we hope they see when they look up at the billboard -- a loving family with loving partners. Sometimes in order to foster communication and ultimately acceptance it has to start with controversy."
