Jeff,
Here in Texas our customers have had great success using the formulation ou=
tlined in the attachment. I wish I could include all of the personal testim=
onials from our very satisfied customers. The best thing? It's very afforda=
ble if you can find the amendments. Last year we saved over a half acre of=
newly installed St. Augustine that a customer had "burned up" from using s=
ynthetic lawn fertilizers. Within two weeks of using this program our frien=
d (dragged here by his mother, a really good customer) saw very good improv=
ement in his lawn. He is a committed organic lawn enthusiast now! Check it =
out.

Just think what we could have done if there were a company offering applica=
tion of ACT? I'm thinking,,,,,I'm thinking.....

In addition to letting the grass grow a bit longer, leaving the clippings=
on the lawn when you do cut helps provide microbial fodder. Three inches =
is the recommended height here in Anchorage with removal of no more than 1 =
inch when mowing. We have also had good success adding soy bean meal at a =
rate of 4 pounds per 100 square feet in addition to leaving the clippings. =
This has resulted in "Miracle-Gro" like green lawns all over town.

These practices, along with application of ACT at the start of the season=
with follow up application once a month (we only have a three month season=
) has greatly decreased "hard pan" soils.

  Cheers,

  jeff
