Re: Moving an Archives



Added to the other concerns are the issues of the environmental results of
new carpeting/tile/painting.  Offgassing from these cosmetic changes could
potentially continue for months after (years, for all I know), and the
chemicals involved are not good for archival collections.

You will also incovenience patrons for the months this will take; and it
will take months - you ever heard of a city agency getting anything done on
time?  Meantime the collections will be sitting out either in the open or in
some offsite storage while they dither about what color to paint.  If it
ain't broke...
