Friday Funny
I have received a CD in the mail from "The Ermine Society" which
appears to be a genealogy society where membership confers upon
you certain benefits, such as titles of nobility, etc.
In any case, I note that upon joining you will be "placed in an archive"
and this, to my knowledge, is the first evidence I've found where living
archivists can be actually placed in an archive (outside of working
in one)! Here's the link
http://www.erminesociety.org/main.html
To be honest, I see this organization as a Self-Creating Amalgamation
Corporation. However they did send me a CD upon which I find that
three of the members live in my area, and one attends my University,
so those folks go into our biographical/genealogical files.
