EqualityNC
Equality NC is a statewide organization dedicated to securing
equality and justice for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT)
people. Activities include effectively lobbying the North Carolina
General Assembly, executive branch and local governments on issues
like employment discrimination, hate violence, privacy rights,
sexuality education, adoption, domestic partnership, HIV/AIDS and
more. Equality NC works closely with two sister organizations: Equality NC PAC,
which works to elect fairminded candidates; and Equality NC
Project, which provides educational programming on lgbt issues
in North Carolina.

identity, strength, and well-being of the local gay, lesbian,
bisexual and transgender community and supports organizations

qualified organizations or institutions serving Guilford County's
lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered community

to our low-income HIV+ neighbors in Forsyth County and the
surrounding areas.

A voluntary state-wide
non-profit attorneys' organization providing visibility, support and
advocacy for the LGBT community, including an LGBT-friendly legal

Triad Pride Men's Chorus
The Triad Pride Men's Chorus (TPMC) is
dedicated to presenting choral music of high artistic standards
which promotes gay and lesbian pride and fosters understanding and
acceptance from the entire Piedmont community.

The Triad Business and
Professional Guild promotes networking, professional development,
personal enrichment, and social opportunities for gays, lesbians,
bisexuals, transgender, and our allies in the Piedmont Triad.

Gay-Straight Student Alliance at Wake Forest University
The Gay-Straight Student Alliance (GSSA) of Wake Forest University
exists to promote dialogue and understanding about sexual
orientation issues. We hope that we can make our campus and our
community a more welcoming place for all people through our efforts.

A Greensboro organization that provides for the promotion of a
public policy by which schools are alleviated from discrimination
and harassment on the basis of sexual orientation and/or gender
identity/expression so that all students, faculty, staff and other
school community members are made physically and emotionally safe;
provides resources which address the educational, emotional,
psychological, and spiritual needs and wants of gay, lesbian,
bisexual, transgender youth and their allies; and provides for the
furtherance of the goals of valuing and respecting gay, lesbian,
bisexual and transgender persons in educational environments.
GuilfordPRIDE
GuilfordPRIDE is the college's student
group for GLBTQA students.It meets weekly on Monday nights and, with
the Resource Center, holds serveral special events throughout the
year. PRIDE serves as the voice for GLBTQ students and Allies on
campus.
QCYNT -- Queer
College & Youth Network of the Triad
QCYNT (pronounced Q-cent), a project of
Alternative Resources of the
Triad, is a networking group for lgbtqa college student groups,
their members, and other lgbtqa youth and college aged persons
within the Triad area of North Carolina.

The purpose of PRIDE! is to offer a safe
place for students on the UNCG campus, as well as anyone in the
surrounding communities, to come and express themselves, interact
with others, meet new people, and facilitate awareness in an open
and inviting environment.

Alternative Resources of the Triad
Alternative Resources of the Triad operates
OutGreensboro.com as a
resource for the glbtq community in the Triad Area. ART also runs
"Greensboro, Out at the Movies!" and funds the networking group
QCYNT for
GLBTQ college students.
PFLAG-Greensboro
Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays. We offer a safe,
supportive, confidential place to discuss the gay experience. We
welcome people of all faith communities -- Jewish, Christian,
Buddhist, Muslim, etc. We are not a religious organization. We
welcome people of all races and ethnic groups.
PFLAG Winston-Salem
Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) promotes
the health and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual and
transgendered persons, their families and friends through support,
to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an
ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and secure
equal civil rights. |
