Elves

Elves are immediately identifiable by their slender, graceful physiques and elfin features, most notably pointed ears. The colour of their skin ranges from a rich chestnut brown to an almost silvery white. Despite being faerie, elves and humans share a close physical appearance and occasionally have half-elf children.
While elves are great lovers of nature, they are also mischievous and generally frivolous and occasionally inadvertently cause great destruction of the wilderness. Ancient legends tell of great elven cities, but none today exist. In fact, elves have few permanent settlements preferring to live outdoors in a quasi-nomadic life. In places where elves have settled in large numbers their housing is simple and made to be easily disassembled and moved. They tend to favour woodland areas and almost never build any fortifications.
Elves are agile, dexterious, and perceptive. Their magical ability is well developed, as is their ability to use such traditional weapons as the elfin bow and sword. In addition to their natural gifts, elves have infravision and can navigate the treacherous forest paths with little difficulty both at day and night.
